Making a difference together for people and nature 💙💚
Last week, all Hunkeler apprentices dedicated their time to volunteer work: 27 apprentices and two trainers were actively involved in projects across the region. This cross-professional initiative was organized by our third-year …apprentices, who independently planned and coordinated the entire project.
At Pflegeheim Sennhof in Vordemwald, our apprentices gained valuable insights into the daily lives of elderly people. Through baking, barbecuing, storytelling, singing, and playing bingo, meaningful encounters, enriching conversations, and special moments were shared across generations.
Our apprentices also lent a helping hand at NLG Wiedehopf. By helping to build an insect hotel, our apprentices made an active contribution to promoting biodiversity and demonstrated the importance of collective engagement for nature and the environment.
The volunteer week provided an opportunity to take responsibility, gain new perspectives, and strengthen team spirit among our apprentices. A heartfelt thank you to Sennhof, NLG Wiedehopf, and everyone involved for making this such a rewarding and inspiring week.
