The Starbook Sheetfolder is our latest innovation for book block production from single sheet. This sophisticated solution was specially developed for the cut-sheet segment and expands our portfolio of book solutions. The Starbook Sheetfolder integrates the automated line with the patented Book Delivery BD8 stacking module, which enables the production of glued book blocks for soft and hardcover books, catalogs and booklets without covers (budget binding). The great benefit of the Starbook Sheetfolder lies in its flexibility. It adjusts to different book formats and page counts in seconds. In addition, the solution offers completely new possibilities in book production from the sheet, as sheets of different papers can be joined together to form a book.
The solution can be used both from the Pile Feeder and inline with printers in the digital printing cut-sheet segment, offering a flexible and scalable solution for a wide range of requirements.
Starbook Plowfolder book solution
A unique feature of the Hunkeler Starbook Plowfolder book solution, apart from the unrivalled book block quality, is that the individual book blocks can be output in the order in which they are produced at a high output rate of up to 2,000 books per hour. This First In – First Out sequence and the individual book output are the basic requirements for being able to produce short runs down to edition 1 economically, efficiently and in the shortest possible throughput time. The automation of sub-processes and the unique, patented paper handling system play a central role in this.
Starbook Webfolder book solution
The Hunkeler Starbook Webfolder book solution is perfectly suited for softcover or hardcover book blocks and catalogues based on 4-page signatures. The modular Book Delivery BD8 guarantees an excellent book block quality with perfectly straight, square and flat book blocks and a performance of up to 2 000 stacks per hour in First In – First Out sequence. The system is fed by the Media Changer RX8 that allows printer supported media roll changes with automatic roll splicing of different papers on-the-fly.
